Utility

What the token is for

A passport for every card, a verified table of every card, and a lane where outsiders pay the miners: three utilities made from the record the chain already keeps, and the plan to build them.

Put simply

Your card is paid directly by the chain every 64 blocks on its exact work across three kinds of physics, with no pool between the card and the coin.

That record, per key and per lane, is what the token's utility is made of: a passport for every card, a verified table of every card, and a lane where outsiders pay the miners for their work. Two of the token's four demand sources are live today; two are this plan, and the plan names the step that proves each.

03What the chain already does

What the chain already does

The record
Paid directly, every 64 blocks
Every key is paid by the chain on its balanced work across the three paid lanes, to the wei, with no pool and no pool fee; a pool is optional and its table is public
of record
Three kinds of physics, paid as one
A programme lane, a memory-bandwidth lane and a rasteriser lane, paid at the weights of record, 0.2 programme / 0.4 bandwidth / 0.4 raster, from block 6523 (equal thirds from 5063 to 6522), by a chain-held registry that swaps a lane by transaction; a key is paid on its weakest lane under the minimum rule, live on the research chain from block 5958
of record
No advantage in splitting a key
Splitting a key into many keys earns exactly what one key earns, 1.0000x on weights and on wei at block 500 of the adversarial chain
of record
Old cards earn
A 2060 keeps 0.54 and a 3060 0.73 of a 4090 per joule for the whole pay at the weights of record, on today's rows (about 0.46 and 0.63 once the raster lane draws, estimated); the figures with their grades are on the disciplines page
of record
A chip built for one lane earns little more than a card
1.2x to 1.4x a card at the weights of record, the stacked chip 1.6x disclosed, by the model; the sealer's quarter is folded into the pot from block 6666 on the research chain (15 October 2026, 22:38 UK), a sealer paid only on its own standing; the public test network takes it by its own registry entry when that lands
modelled

That record is the raw material of the three utilities.

04The card passport

The card passport

The record

What it is. A signed credential, read from the chain, that says this key did this much paid work on each lane over this window, with the joules behind it: a certificate of paid work over a window, weighted by joules. It is never an identity and never a vote weight on its own, and a project using it for an allowlist is told so in its terms. It is a credential and never a token, and the chain never sells it.

Who uses it. Other projects, for airdrops, allowlists, test seats and votes, in place of wallet counts and device counts. Miners, as proof of what their card has done.

Why it holds. Device counts are farmed and hardware attestation has been forged; a proof of paid work costs the joules behind it, across three kinds of physics, and old cards count. Splitting a key mints as many passports as keys at no cost, by design, so the passport is weighted by work and never counted by head.

05The verified card table

The verified card table

The record

What it is. The table of cards whose numbers come from paid work: microjoules a hash per card per lane with its grade, the ratio to a 4090, and the work history of a key, published from the rows of record and from the chain's own records.

Who uses it. Every miner choosing what to run and what to buy; every buyer of a used card who can read what it did; every miner who wants to see their card on the table.

06The sponsored lane

The sponsored lane

The record

What it is. An outsider posts a bond and a kernel the fast verifier can check; the registry swaps it in as a lane by transaction; the sponsor's fee rides the existing per-key pay to every miner on exact share, with no pool and no custodian.

The form of record. The sponsor's fee is paid through each key's balanced standing under the minimum rule, so a key with no standing on the other lanes earns nothing from a sponsored lane; the kernel and its verifier go through the panel's gate, with the chip reading, before the registry admits them; the sponsor commits its payout in advance. What is open is the fee's level, which the rental market sets at 0 to 13 percent of a card's day, modelled.

Who uses it. Other chains that want hashing from a GPU fleet, zero-knowledge provers, anyone whose work is fast to verify.

The record

The three utilities make miners come and stay. They are not by themselves a reason for anyone to buy and hold the coin. The token's demand has four sources, two live today and two in this plan.

SourceWhat it does to the coinStatus
The sealer bondAnyone who wants to seal blocks and earn the sealer's quarter of each block locks IGN in a bond; more sealers, more IGN lockedOF RECORD, live on the public test network
FeesEvery transaction and every registry action pays its fee in IGNOF RECORD, live
The sponsored laneAn outside sponsor buys IGN to pay the fee and post the bond; the fee flows to miners on exact share. Modelled: about 0.70 GBP a 4090-day at the rental market's price, a 13 percent lift to a card's gross day; a hundred sponsored cards outweigh the research chain's daily issuanceTHIS PLAN, the pilot the measure
The lane proposal bondAnyone proposing a lane to the registry posts a bond in IGN that is lost if the form fails its setsTHIS PLAN

Put simply: the passport and the table are why the GPU community comes; the sponsored lane and the sealer bond are why anyone else buys the coin. Only the sponsored lane brings money in from outside, and that is why its pilot decides whether this is a token story or only a mining story.

09What this is notIt is not a rental business, not an AI compute marketplace and not a useful-work coin.

What this is not

It is not a rental business, not an AI compute marketplace and not a useful-work coin.

Those depend on demand that has not arrived for anyone. This is the chain's own record, made useful, with demand pulled in by the one thing every GPU owner wants: a card that keeps earning and a record of what it did.

What would prove this wrong: no outside project adopts the passport within a month of its launch; the earliest sponsored lane finds no sponsor at a fee above the verifier's cost; a chip row that cannot be reproduced; a pay row from the adversarial suite that does not balance.

Source: the figures of record: every key paid every 64 blocks on balanced work (the ledger's read at 754f0b2e4); three lanes paid at the weights of record from block 6523, equal thirds from 5063 (the registry page); a split key 1.0000x on weights and on wei (7e158f2c3); the minimum pay rule live on the research chain from block 5958; the old cards and the chip at the weights of record (2216722e1); the sponsored lane's fee level and the 4090-day are a model.
